Innovations

Energy Efficient Design is our mission in the beginning of 21th Century. We already have some projects under construction with hi-technology solutions, as heat pumps, solar collectors, central regulation of reversible heating and cooling systems etc. The basic concept of building consider the solution which would be heated and cooled through a system of low-temperature panel heating system, with panels placed in the cement screed bed floor. The system has a great share in heating through low-temperature radiation that enhances the feeling of comfort. The system can heat the air at somewhat lower temperatures (1-2 °C) and keep the same pleasant conditions that classic heating systems have. With the reduction of air temperature in the building, the use of heating energy is reduced by nearly 6%.
Panel heating systems are very inert systems, bearing in mind complex dynamics of the building’s functioning and tendency for maximal reduction of energy consumption. In addition to the panel heating system there will be a hot-air heating and air cooling system with the necessary quantity of fresh air. Panel heating/cooling system would cover base heat burden (through the walls, roof, windows), whilst air system would cover the instant variable burden (from people, equipment, lighting). Air systems would be used in exhibition areas with pronounced variations in heat burden, caused by specific opening of the building in order to use the heat from external sources maximally, whilst only panel systems would be used in the zones having approximately constant requirements for heating. Panel heating/cooling systems emit heat of 50-90 W/m2 in the winter and 40 W/m2 in the summer period.
For commercial buildings we recommend double  façade, where hot-air heating/air cooling system emits entire waste air into the aura between the wall and the membrane, creating an air barrier with the air of the same temperature as in the interior of the building. In this way, heat gain and loss would be considerably reduced, and with it the consumption of energy for heating. Fresh air would be taken in the zone of membrane parts that open to the exterior. In the summer period, when the external air temperature is lower than the ambient temperature (which will mostly happen during the nigh) thermally untreated external air is envisaged (the so-called ‘free cooling’), which would cool the interior during the nigh and reduce heat requirements for cooling the next day. A heat source would be provided through a necessary number of heat pumps with the optimal heat source (water, soil, or air), which can be determined only after detailed assessment of heat capacity of the said sources in the immediate neighbourhood of the building.
